When you set up your Google My Business page (haven’t done that yet? You should ASAP!), it will use Search, Maps, and Google Plus to make your business more visible in local searches. This makes your business much easier to find, both physically and virtually.

We always tell clients that Google is king and that you have to play their game to win (winning in this case meaning getting those clicks!). This holds true with Google Plus as well. Even if you aren’t personally on it or don’t know anyone else who uses it, it is still worth your while to create a business page on Google+ and post regularly to it.

With SEO, there are a million little tricks and tactics you can use. While we don’t recommend killing yourself trying to keep up with every single one, it’s true that all of the little acts can add up and make a big difference for search rankings. Because it’s relatively easy to post across an array of social media platforms, we suggest adding Google Plus to your social media routine. The gains are much greater than the effort in this case.
