What is AIO & Why It Matters to Your Website

One of the questions I get asked the most lately is about AI and how to get seen in the top of the AI search results on Google.  In the digital marketing world, this is referred to as AIO (AI optimization) or GEO (generative engine optimization).  Essentially, we are back to being found by Google, and while there is some mystery surrounding it, the basics have not changed that much.  So how do you get found by AI?

  • Good Content is Still King.  While it is a bit of a mind bender, basically AI does not like AI-written content.  What does this mean?  You still need to write good, human-driven content on your new website to get found by AI.  And the tricky thing is that because AI is scanning the website, if you have written it fully with AI, it will immediately recognize it and not like it.  Crazy, right?  But still.  Put on your writing hat and write about your organization (or have someone like us do it for you).

  • Designing Your Website with Claude Design Will Help.  At least, we think so.  Claude Design is just a few weeks old, but so far it seems that hosting your website and doing the bulk of the design with Claude will actually help your AIO/GEO.  But there is a catch.

  • You Still Need a Professional Designer to Perform the Build.  While Claude Design can take care of the bulk of the coding for a new website, it still has glitches that require human eyes to scan and correct.  Also, there are certain SEO/AIO/GEO tasks that need to be performed by a human to ensure your website is being found by Google Search and the AI tools available at the moment.
